Gogmazios Great Sword Crushes Tempered Rey Dau – MH Wilds

Happy 2026, Hunters! Sharing my first hunt of the year. I love the Rey Dau match-up because I can really show off the Great Sword’s full potential in Monster Hunter Wilds.

I messed up the Offset Attack at the end, but I had to upload this run to show that TCS Dunk.

For this run, I’m using the Rathalos’s Flare skill because it deals constant residual damage regardless of your weapon’s element, performing a similar damage role to the Doshaguma skill. This set allows me to run Flayer (which got a huge buff in TU4) while keeping Burst active. I also managed to fit in one level of Latent Power and Weakness Exploit, complementing everything with Resentment, which synergizes perfectly with Offsets and Tackles even if it’s not active 100% of the fight. If I had used the Doshaguma skill, I would have had to sacrifice several of these skills, so I ended up trying this crazy idea instead.
